Advantages, disadvantages and facts of being Lefty

     Every year, 13 August is celebrated as World Left Handers day. I am so lucky that I am a part of this unique 13% group of people in the world. In my childhood days, being lefty was irritating but now, I am feeling so lucky.  Lets check out some advantages, disadvantages and facts about being Left handed so that you can clear misunderstandings about Lefty people. These facts are scientifically proven and accepted worldwide.

Advantages:

1) More likely to be extreme poles of the intelligence scale

2) Twice as likely to be a man

3) 3D perception and thinking is better.

4) They can do multi-tasking in better way.

5) They can become good baseball players, tennis players, swimmers, boxers and fencers 

6) Celebrate left handed day once a year – August 13th. :)

7) Lefty artists can draw figures facing to the right

8) Rate of recovery from strokes is high.

9) They think of making creative careers.

10) They can adjust their eyes for seeing underwater quicker

Disadvantages:

1) Chances of being homosexual are more.

2) More likely to have allergies

3) More prone to migraines

4) Three times more likely to become alcoholics.

5) Tend to reach puberty 4 to 5 months later than right handers

6) More likely to suffer stuttering and dyslexia

7) Able to roll their tongue is less than a righty

  

Facts:

1) Left handed college graduates go on to become 26% richer than right handed graduates.

2) On a QWERTY keyboard, there are 1447 English words typed solely with the left hand and only 187 can be typed with the right hand.
