2011's Cricket World cup semi final match played between India and Pakistan is said to be already fixed. According to Sunday Times (a newspaper in London), 44,000 pounds were offered to batsman for making slow runs, 50,000 pounds for
bowlers to give up runs and 7,50,000 pounds for official who
can assure guaranteed outcome.
International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially started investigation after fixing news. "The newspaper investigation story will be taken as reference. Betting on cricket in the legal and illegal markets continues to
grow rapidly and, with many, many millions of dollars being bet on every
match, the threat of corrupters seeking to influence the game has not
gone away," an ICC spokesperson said.
Last year Pakistan's Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and
Mohammad Aamerwere jailed for spot fixing against 2010's test match played against England.
