Windows 8 is available! Have a look

     Microsoft, on Wednesday, 29th February, 2012 released its upcoming version of Windows called Windows 8. In fact, Microsoft just debuted its Consumer Preview version. After going through new look of Windows, I must appreciate Mr. Gates for making such a dynamic window for us. :)

     Growth of Google, Amazon and Apple highly affected Microsoft's market. But now, it seems like Microsoft took it seriously and now coming in the Tablet Market. Full version release date of Windows 8 is not yet decided. I am also waiting to hear that date from Microsoft.

     Lets check out some cool things about this new version.

Tile Widgets:

     Just like Windows 7 phone, Windows 8 incorporates Metro User Interface in it having typographical elements and large thumbnails of content used to access them. They are placed in rectangle manner. Lets take an example of tile. You can see the current temperature of your city on tile surface. When you tap that tile, it will expand to show you next 5 days weather forecast. 

 

Friendly Keyboard: 

     Its good to play on capacitive touchscreen which gives more comfort than resistive one. Thanks to Microsoft for omitting Resistive touchscreens. Keyboard pattern is same as Windows Phone keyboard. This will be helpful in mobile market.

Gestures:

     Touchscreen is biggest achievement of Windows 8 which introduces various gestures. Windows 8 packs Pinch and Zoom touching, Swipe facility, Ratating objects with two fingers facility in it. Quick view of Start button, Sharing option, recently used apps are extra features of Windows 8.

Control the Internet and its speed:

     New generation window is friend of all. I mean those who are having limited plan internet can control their traffic with Windows 8 and those who are having multiple internet connection options will be automatically switched to faster network. This makes Windows not only future system but also an intelligent one.

Remote Storage:

     Do you have a Windows SkyDrive account? If not then make it now because Windows 8 is going to provide you remote storage facility. Microsoft says that all Windows 8 apps have the potential to take advantage of SkyDrive storage [Courtesy: blogs.msdn.com]

Power Batteries:

     Another point to notice is that Windows 8 supports ARM processors. ARM silicon chips are widely used in Smart phones and Tablets. This increases market of Windows 8 effectively.
