D. BATU review: The goal is so far

After spending 3 fabulous years of diploma in Walchand (Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli), when it came to choose engineering college for further education. D.BATU was only unknown college for me. After a short research, I finally decided to add this college in the option list of CAP round (Central Admission Process). With 87% (having reservation seats), I finally admitted to the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere, Raigad.

28th August, 2011 was my first visit to D.BATU. First thing which I like is huge university construction. This is the finest civil construction I ever seen.

First few days of college were surprising because nothing was happening as per my guess statements. Though I am so small to talk about such big educational institute, here, I am giving my personal opinion about D.BATU. As I belong from reputed institute, I am having high influence of my past college, so, please understand me:

1. Though university is having 500 acres land (apprx), very small area is in actual use and there is no movement for development of unused space.
2. Efforts are required to generate "an autonomous level campus atmosphere".
3. Training and Placement cell of any educational institute is important section which reflects quality and progress of institute. D.BATU should build this section in perfect way.
4. I found lack of Encouragement from teachers. Pat by a teacher is first step for student to move ahead.

Now let us talk about few advantages of being student of D.BATU:

1. Konkan is free to you. There are about 52 places to enjoy near D.BATU.
2. You will be alumni of highly growing educational institute.
3. You will come in contact with friends who are from different areas of Maharashtra. This improves your general knowledge and all type of cultural sharing, blah blah...
4. Spending time at D.BATU learns you 'how to live life?'
There are no disadvantages of being BATU'ian because, our university is in its younger stage as compared to other reputed educational institutes. 22 years for an university are nothing if compare it on large time-line. Although relatively young, the University is making its mark in the field of engineering through its dedicated faculty and disciplined students.

It will be safe to end this post with quote of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru,
"The University stands for humanism and tolerance, for reason, for adventure of ideas and for the search of truth. It stands for the forward march of the human race towards even higher objectives. If the universities discharge their duties adequately then it is well with the nation and the people."

I hope this post will help my juniors while choosing this college for their higher education.
